Job Profile Summary:
As a Business Systems Analyst you will be liaising with product owners, team members, product owners and other stakeholders and handling investment data.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies
- Gathers requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers
- Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation
- Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
- Supports one or more highly complex business processes
- Works on multiple projects as a project team member
- Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
- Translate complex business problems into viable functional and/or technical specifications
- Involved with designing solution and documentation
- Involved with manual testing and User Acceptance Testing
- At least 8 years of experience
- Ability to translate complex business problems into functional and technical specifications
- Experience documenting technical and functional specifications for data management applications
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and concepts
- Advanced SQL and Excel skills
- Experience analyzing relational data using SQL and other tools
- Experience analyzing data in JSON and XML format
Preferred:
- Proven investment data subject matter expertise.
- Prior experience in the Asset Management industry (especially institutional / intermediary channels) preferred.
- Knowledge of financial data and metrics (asset allocation, diversification, attribution, performance calculations, etc.) preferred.
- Capable of handling complex data mapping assignments.
- Experience with data quality management tools and practices.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor
