Title: Business Systems Analyst

Job Profile Summary:

As a Business Systems Analyst you will be liaising with product owners, team members, product owners and other stakeholders and handling investment data.

Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies
  • Gathers requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers
  • Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation
  • Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
  • Supports one or more highly complex business processes
  • Works on multiple projects as a project team member
  • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
  • Translate complex business problems into viable functional and/or technical specifications
  • Involved with designing solution and documentation
  • Involved with manual testing and User Acceptance Testing
Qualifications:
  • At least 8 years of experience
  • Ability to translate complex business problems into functional and technical specifications
  • Experience documenting technical and functional specifications for data management applications
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and concepts
  • Advanced SQL and Excel skills
  • Experience analyzing relational data using SQL and other tools
  • Experience analyzing data in JSON and XML format

Preferred: 
  • Proven investment data subject matter expertise.
  • Prior experience in the Asset Management industry (especially institutional / intermediary channels) preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial data and metrics (asset allocation, diversification, attribution, performance calculations, etc.) preferred.
  • Capable of handling complex data mapping assignments.
  • Experience with data quality management tools and practices.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor
